An Turas: a campaign for ShadowDark set in mythological Ireland [SAMPLE]

This island is as old as time itself. Past is the age when gods roamed these green valleys, but their presence is not wholly absent; Éire abounds still with the children of deities, with monsters, with common folk, kings, and freshly legendary heroes. Even under the greyest skies, her plains and massive forests shine emerald, thrumming with an eternal magic over which the kingdoms of man have no rule.

Life here can be glorious, and it can be short; nobody yet knows whether to take one’s life into their own hands is bravery or pure folly.

An Turas is a full campaign setting for ShadowDark RPG set in mythological bronze/iron-age Ireland, complete with sidhe, fomorians, cattle raids, heroes old and new, delves into fairy mounds, and much more!

Included here is a one-shot sample adventure from An Turas which is meant to give a party of level-1 PCs a good taste of this setting's tone and circumstances. In it, PCs come to a village whose fields have been destroyed by an angry spirit. Their attempts to solve this problem will acquaint them nicely with the incredible world of ancient Ireland as portrayed in its indigenous myth and history.
